We have been in a new home now for nearly a month. Here are a few pictures of the place. We are up in the mountains east of San Jose. It has been a real refuge for us. We do not have internet connection at this point in case you are wondering why we have virtually disappeared from the whole virtual world scene. It has actually been refreshing. Instead of writing e-mails at night etc., Christina and I have been enjoying life
by sitting on our couch, watching the fire flies pass by our window, sipping on coffee (or another fine drink) and talking. It has actually been very good for our marriage and friendship. It’s amazing how we fill our lives with so much stuff. I can’t say we will continue on without internet at home, but it has been a good partial fast from the on-line world. I highly recommend it!
Wow. That sounds wonderful you guys! I was thinking about you yesterday, and thinking about how much I miss you. I miss our talks, Christina. How are you liking your new house? It looks beautiful! My kids are sick at the moment, so I can’t go to SUPPORT this morning. But what I would really like is to go, sit next to you on the crummy broken couch, have a cup of tea and some yummy treats, and talk about Brennan Manning’s Abba’s Child book. That’s what we’ve been reading, and it is SO good. I’ve been getting a lot out of it. It’s very soothing. We also found a new restaurant by CA called Oinkster that has wonderful hamburgers and fries – the kids love it, and I keep thinking how fun it would be to go to church then have dinner there with you guys like we did at the Pizza place. We just miss you guys, but I’m SO glad you have a nice couch, and good wine, and fireflies. Give each other a big hug for me.
Love, Charity
