I’ve been trying to write a post for several weeks now about the place our country is in and the Christian faith. My words have failed me over and over again. I am encouraged by this week’s CCDA post on the public witness campaign taking place across our nation. I’ll re-post it in whole here. The words and tools draw us to Christ and his witness in this time of turmoil.


As Christians commemorate Holy Week and Easter, we are reminded of Jesus’ public witness—standing with the vulnerable, speaking truth to power, and embodying radical love.

This is a powerful time for our association to connect your current work to the national #PublicWitness campaign—a movement of faith leaders across the country taking action to uphold the teachings of Jesus, and his special focus on care for the most vulnerable.

Congress is in recess this week, which means your members are in-district and available for meetings. This is your opportunity to:
