Theology Quiz

This is a cool little quiz that will tell you which theologian you are most like. It's kind of fun if you have a couple of minutes. I came out as Saint Anselm of Canterbury (1033 – April 21, 1109). . Wikipedia says about Anselm, "He was an Italian medieval philosopher, theologian, and church official … Continue reading Theology Quiz

The Kingdom and Power

Brian McLaren's video got me thinking on the issue of power in the kingdom. It's not a new theme for me, but one that always brings me back to asking what does power look like within the kingdom paradigm? Perhaps one of the better approaches (in my opinion) comes from Jayakumar Christian in his book, … Continue reading The Kingdom and Power

About the author

Unknown's avatarMy name is Greg Burch and I am on faculty at the Multnomah Campus of Jessup University where I teach and direct the Global Development and Justice (M.A.) program. After living and working for nearly a decade in Latin America (Venezuela and Costa Rica) I now focus on bridging together theory and practice around advocating for vulnerable children, poverty alleviation, and applied participatory research topics. In addition to my role at Jessup, I am also co-owner of Camino Quest, a travel company focused on supporting pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago in Spain. When I am not in the classroom or traveling, I love surfing at some of my favorite spots on the Oregon coast (or anywhere for that matter).
